‘Wow I can’t believe we managed to do so much in such little time,’ I said as Taehyung came beside me. He was slightly sweaty since he insisted that I barely do anything and do most of the things himself.
‘It does look pretty, but there’s something missing,’ he mumbled as he looked at the little area we set up. We had managed to get some balloons that decorated the area we chose. We tied some ribbons against trees and Taehyung even tied up fairy lights for the evening.
I looked at the small wooden board that Junsu helped us to bring. There were a lot of photos of the boys and me and a lot of photos of our children with us. Right in the middle, there was a blank photo with a question mark on it. I smiled as I touched it, knowing there was the message behind it.
I looked around for the “missing thing” and my eyes landed on the banner. ‘Ahh that’s it,’ I said as I reached for it. I went to go on the stool but I quickly felt a hand on my wrist.
‘Stop! What are you doing?’ Taehyung scolded as he almost glared at me. ‘That’s dangerous, especially when you’re pregnant Al. We avoid trouble as much as we can,’ he said. I pouted as I looked down.
‘Sorry. I got overexcited,’ I mumbled. I heard him sigh as he put his fingers under my chin, lifting my head up and forcing me to look at him. He sighed as he shook his head.
‘No, I’m the one who is sorry princess. I just…I get overprotective of you in normal circumstance but whenever you’re pregnant, I tend to overdo it. I can’t explain it, it’s almost like I can’t control my Alpha instincts to protect you,’ he explained.
I sighed and smiled as I reached for his face and cupped it. ‘Don’t apologize for taking care of me TaeTae,’ I said as I went on my tiptoes and gave him a peck. ‘I love you as you are and I love that you’re always protecting me,’ I said.
‘I love you too,’ he said before he placed his hand on my belly. ‘And I love this little pup growing inside of you as well,’ he said.
‘Who do you think is the biological link this time?’ I asked and Taehyung shrugged.
‘I’m not sure but my instinct tells me it’s Jimin. He’s always clingy, even in other pregnancies but he has been unable to separate from you lately and trust me, we feel the pull before we know,’ he said, making me smile.
‘I noticed too. I thought it was because he was upset about me feeling tired,’ I said and he nodded. ‘I guess that’s why he also seemed a little bummed to not be able to come with me to do the surprise,’ I said.
‘He felt I could protect you better,’ Taehyung said with a frown. ‘I may be an Alpha and I may physically be stronger than him, but he would have protected you well. He would give his life for you just as I would my Luna,’ he said but I quickly put my hand on his mouth.
‘Hush! Don’t talk like that. You have no idea how much it upsets me when you talk like that,’ I said with a frown, which only made him chuckle.
‘Sorry. How about I put up that banner, hmm?’ he asked and I nodded. He gave me a peck on the cheek before he went on the stool and started tying it up. He went on the other side, tying up that side as well. ‘There, ready,’ he said a he came next to me once more.
‘It looks perfect,’ I said just as Taehyung sniffed the air. ‘Is everything okay?’ I asked and he nodded with a smile.
‘Yeah. The others are almost here,’ he said. I giggled as I quickly tried to stifle my laughter. ‘Are you ready?’ he asked and I nodded.
I saw them approaching happily and the kids seemed to see us. They both broke into a run as they rushed towards me, yelling out my name. ‘MAMA!!’ They yelled while I squatted down and opened my arms. They both ran into my arms, almost sending me to the ground.
‘Careful babies, you don’t want to hurt Mama,’ Taehyung said as he quickly held me steadily so I would not fall. I chuckled as they hugged more carefully this time.
‘Hello my baby and baby girl,’ I said, kissing the top of each of their heads as they giggled.
‘Mama we missed you,’ Minho said while I looked at him.
‘I was only gone for two hours sweetie,’ I said as I stood up. I looked at the boys who were smiling proudly and fondly. Yet, there was always a curious look on their faces as they tried to discreetly sniff the air.
Taehyung chuckled while Jimin came from behind me, wrapping his arms around me protectively. He put his head on my shoulder as he gave me a kiss on the neck.
I watched as all their eyes widened slightly before Yoongi took a step closer. ‘Are you…’ he began but paused. I watched him gulp as he licked his lips.
‘According to Taehyung and Jimin, yes, I’m pregnant,’ I said.
‘Oh Goddess!!’ Hoseok exclaimed loudly, making Minho and Soraya look at him with confusion written on their tiny faces.
‘Alina,’ Namjoon said as he came towards me and quickly kissed me. I giggled as I felt Jimin let go of me and be replaced by Jungkook.
‘You’re pregnant. Thank you so much for this love. We’re going to be Appas again,’ Jungkook murmured as he peppered my neck with kisses.
Namjoon took a deep breath but I saw two tears roll down his cheeks. ‘Don’t cry Joonie,’ I said as I quickly wiped them away.
‘These are happy tears, don’t worry,’ he said as Jin approached me. He had a big goofy smile on his face as he touched my cheek.
‘We’re so happy Alina, all of us. We get to keep making our family bigger,’ he said with a chuckle before he gave me a quick peck.
‘Let me hug her,’ Hoseok said as Jungkook moved away while chuckling. Hoseok hugged me from behind, squeezing me just a little since he was being careful. ‘You have no idea how happy you made us,’ he said as he gave me a kiss on the cheek before he let go of me.
Yoongi came in front of me and stared at me and then at my tummy. ‘I knew it,’ he whispered as he smiled quietly. He put his hand on my tummy and I placed my hand on his. ‘I love you,’ he said.
‘I love you too,’ I replied as I gave him a quick peck before he let go of me. ‘So, do you want to set up the blankets and stuff?’ I asked.
‘Sure thing love. You sit down and relax, let us set everything up,’ Jungkook promptly said while Jimin was quick to take me to a log to sit down. I laughed as I watched them put the blanket on the grass and set up cushions.
Jin and Hoseok took out the food which made me blink since there was quite a lot. They definitely packed extras. Namjoon was placing the card games on the side so we could play them later too.
Taehyung took a few steps backwards as he took out the camera he brought with him. I watched him as he snapped a photo of Minho and Soraya who were pointing at all the different flowers. Then he took a photo of the boys setting things up before he finally turned his camera at me.
I giggled but posed anyways, having gotten used to his photography addiction that we all teased him about but secretly adored. Thanks to him we had thousands of photos of our family.
He put the camera slightly down as he looked at me, eyes completely fixed on me. He had a smile on his face – one that showed how truly and serenely happy he felt. He looked at ease and I could not help but feel my heart burst with love.
I placed my hand on my tummy, happy to know there was another life growing in me. I wondered whether it would be a boy or a girl – whether it would carry their wolf gene or my magic genes. I wondered whether biologically it was Jimin’s and whether this pup would inherit his kind, loving heart and his beautiful eye smile.
‘What are you thinking about?’ Jimin asked, surprising me a little. ‘Oops sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you,’ he said as he looked at me worriedly.
‘Hey it’s okay. I’m fine, I was just lost in thought,’ I said as I took his hand in mine. ‘Taehyung and I were talking earlier. He thinks…’ I paused, not sure if I said since I wasn’t completely sure.
‘What princess? Talk to me, you can tell me anything,’ he said, sitting down next to me.
‘He’s not sure but he thinks that biologically, this pup,’ I said, placing my hand on my tummy once more, ‘is yours,’ I said. Jimin’s eyes widened as tears seemed to brim his eyes. His mouth fell open before he came closer to me. His hand trembled as his tears fell.
I grabbed his hand and placed it on my tummy. He chuckled softly and looked at me. ‘Then that explains the fluttering I have been feeling,’ he said. I tilted my head as I looked at him. ‘As Omegas, we… we tend to develop a very strong bond with pups, especially our own pups and lately, I just, I don’t know how to explain it princess, but I just felt drawn to you, like I can’t let you go and have to constantly be around you,’ he said.
‘I can’t wait until we get to hold this pup in our arms,’ I said, smiling. He chuckled and nodded as he leaned his forehead against mine.
‘Me too,’ he said, kissing my forehead, then my nose, my lips and then kneeling down in front of me. He rolled up my shirt and kissed my tummy. ‘Grow healthily my little pup. Eomma, Appas and your siblings are waiting for you angel,’ he said.
‘Hey food is ready. Come, let’s eat,’ Jin called out. Jimin took my hand and led me towards the blankets as I sat down and he sat next to me.
‘This smells delicious boys,’ I said, ready to dig in.
‘Good, because you need to eat. Remember now, you’re eating for two,’ Yoongi said, making me chuckle.
‘I doubt I’ll be forgetting any time soon,’ I said just as Soraya came to climb onto my lap so I can help her with the food.
‘To our family,’ Namjoon said. I smiled and nodded as well shouted the phrase together.
